On numerical investigation of stability of roadbeds reinforced by gabion structures

The stability of roadbed in seismic prone areas is vital for the sustainable economic development regions. gabion structures are one methods road strengthening. Gabion used to avoid damage under loads natural ground slope due earthquake or other reasons. This approach most economical and efficient solutions stabilization slopes, it as a drainage system. Field tests give precise results about efficiency types different sites. However, some cases, expensive numerical calculation can be estimation applicability gabions. by using finite element approaches was investigated here. Stability considered calculations two cases with gabions without ones were compared. dynamic impact taken into account according local normative documents.
